Map tab: countries, flags, zoom, Hold Map.

Everything in the Map inspector plus the on-canvas camera controls. Left-rail chevrons hide a section until you click its title.

Map tab selected on the left rail. Inspector shows Highlights and Fill country with flag. Canvas zoom stack is + / − / Reset. Hold Map sits on the lower left of the globe.

01Open Map and pick a projection

  1. Click Map on the left rail (globe icon).
  2. If the inspector is collapsed, click the strip with the panel-open icon.
  3. Click the Map projection chevron if that section is closed.
  4. Click 3D Globe for a whole-Earth flyover, or Flat Map for regional videos.

02Add countries, states, or cities

  1. Click Highlights if the section is collapsed (chevron points down when open).
  2. Click the field labeled Add country, state, province, or city.
  3. Type France (or California, Los Angeles, Bogotá). Separate several places with commas.
  4. Click a suggestion: Country, State / province, or City. City picks drop a pin on that place (for example Los Angeles).
  5. Or skip typing and click a featured chip: Germany, France, USA, Brazil, Indonesia.
  6. Click Remove on a row to drop that highlight.

Highlights are the only place to add countries and cities. Draw a path from these later in Draw → Path. After the first save, the top-bar button reads Update Map instead of Save Map — it writes the same project, including these highlights.

03City highlights (Los Angeles pin)

Countries fill as regions. Cities drop a pin on that place so you can fly to a metro without highlighting the whole state.

  1. Click Map → Highlights.
  2. Type Los Angeles in Add country, state, province, or city.
  3. Click the City suggestion (not State / province).
  4. A pin marks Los Angeles on the globe. Add Paris, Tokyo, or any other city the same way.
  5. Click Play to fly to that pin. Click Remove on the row if you picked the wrong place.

04Fill country with flag

  1. Stay on Map → Highlights.
  2. Click the Fill country with flag switch so it turns emerald.
  3. Each highlighted country uses its own flag pattern.
  4. Click the switch again to turn the fill off.

05Zoom +/−, Reset, Hold Map

  1. On the globe, click + (top-right stack) to zoom in.
  2. Click − to zoom out.
  3. Click Reset to return to the default framing.
  4. Zoom is disabled while Play is running or while the map is held.

Hold Map (draw mode)

  1. Click Draw on the left rail, then click the Path tool (pencil).
  2. Click Hold Map on the lower-left of the canvas (or More → Hold Map).
  3. The button turns emerald and reads Release Map — the globe no longer pans under your stroke.
  4. Draw, then click Release Map.

Hold Map is disabled unless the Draw tool is selected, and while Play is running.

06Left rail and collapsible chevrons

  • Map / Badges / Draw / Stock / Assets / Special Effects switch the inspector.
  • Draw splits into Select, Text, and Path. Project name stays at the top of every inspector.
  • Special Effects holds Start Frame, Duration, Transition, and Sound. It stays grayed until a route-attached cutout or 3D model is on the map.
  • More opens Settings, User guide, FAQ, Privacy, Terms (and Hold Map).
  • Each inspector section has a chevron. Closed = chevron rotated; click the title to open.
  • Open/closed state is remembered in this browser (localStorage).
  • The project name field is always at the top of the inspector, next to the collapse control.
  • Attaching a 3D model to a route switches Map projection to Flat Map so the mesh sits on the path.
